First post!

I have officially joined the world of blogging! *waves to blog world* I debated long and hard on what to blog about ... running, or more specifically, training for another marathon ... the dogs and their super-exciting lives ... the random thoughts that cross my mind on a daily basis. All seemed rather, well, boring, to be honest. I mean who wants to read about running all the time and what do my dogs do that is really that interesting? Exactly.

So here's the concept behind the blog: cities (and towns and I assume villages) have a tendency to have graffiti in hundreds of thousands of places, sometimes for good reason (I assume), sometimes artsy and sometimes downright odd. I will try to capture it and hope that other people do too, regardless of where they are, and send it to me. I'll post it, along with the necessary credentials, for all of the world to see.

And on that note, the concept is entirely due to my good friend Kristi who is currently kickin' it in Brooklyn. *waves to Kristi * She has already begun photographing the random and beautiful graffiti she finds and posts it on Facebook and it is exactly that: random and beautiful and sometimes completely captivating. So thank you Kristi, and here's to one day possibly publishing the "Urban Graffiti Coffee Table Book." :)
